A 16-year-old male has died following a motorcycle accident over the weekend.
This was confirmed by Deputy Police Commissioner Papalii Monalisa Tiai Keti in response to questions from Radio Polynesia.
According to Papalii from preliminary reports, the 16-year-old was operating a motorbike when the incident occurred, and it appears the motorbike crashed; however, they are continuing their investigations.
She said the 16-year-old is from the village of Vaigaga, there are no skid marks on the road that indicate that another vehicle was involved, but they will get to the bottom of this matter as the investigation continues
