Two more COVID-19 related deaths in American Samoa, taking the death toll to 23.
According to reports by 93KHJ, the two deaths in the territory are a 92-year-old man and a 90-year-old woman. The man was admitted on April 10th and died on April 14th, was the 22nd fatality.
The man presented with several comorbidities. The woman was admitted on April 15th and died yesterday. She had multiple comorbid conditions and was not vaccinated.
This brings the number of COVID-related deaths to 23. The number of COVID-19 cases, up until yesterday, was 5,647. A total of 4,965 have recovered.
The daily number of positives COVID cases continues to drop. From 496 tests conducted yesterday, only 20 were positive.
