The $4 million tala drainage and road work at Falealili Street is almost completed.
This includes the design, supervision and construction, according to the Land Transport Authority Chief Executive Officer, Galuemalemana Titi Tutuvanu-Schwalger in response to questions from Radio Polynesia.
The drainage and road work at Falealili Street was constructed by Ott Construction and the design was funded by the Green Climate Fund – Vaisigano Catchment Project.
The construction and supervision were funded by the global Environmental Facility -Economic Wide Adaptation to Climate Change.
According to Galumalemana the design period was between May 2020 to August 2021 and it was designed by Stantec NZ Ltd and the LTA while the
supervision consultant was overseen by the LVG Consult Ltd.
She said the construction period commenced between December 2021 to April 2022.
