A total of $51 million will be included in the budget for the new financial year come July 2022 for the constituency projects as promised by the FAST Administration.

This was confirmed by the Chairman of the Faatuatua ile Atua Samoa Ua Tasi, Laauli Leuatea Schmidt, on EFKSTV last night.

In addition, Laauli said the $200,000 initial package of the $1million, will be signed this Friday,  between the Ministry of Women and Social Development and the respective Districts to kickstart the development projects.

For his Constituency, Gagaifoimauga #3, Laauli said they will meet on Saturday to discuss how they will put to good use their $200,000.

In the meantime, Laauli said while other HRPP MP’s have accepted the new condition to allow FAST representatives other Opposition members have threatened to take this matter to court.

“However, there is a possibility of a backlash on the development project,  in any case, they will ask the court to hold off the entire development project.”

Laauli said it is a logical move to allow FAST representatives as members of the Committee for each constituency, those who supported the vision and mission of the governing political party.
