A man shot his wife before fatally shooting himself in American Samoa.
The incident occurred in the village of Aoa yesterday afternoon. Talanei reported the man died at the scene while his wife survived and was rushed to the Lydon B Johnson Hospital at Faga’alu where she was reported to be in serious condition last night.
“The couple have 9 children ranging from 3 years old to 2. “The woman was taken to the hospital in a neighbor’s car and was met by an ambulance on the way.”
Police from the Fagaitua substation responded to the shooting and recovered the weapon that was used at the scene.
The incident has come as a shock to the quiet and peaceful seaside village of Aoa.
