As of May 3rd, LBJ Hospital had recorded 28 Covid-related deaths.
The latest death is a 60 hr old woman with several comorbidities, says 93KHJ reports.
The number of Covid-19 cases was 5,862. All but 123 have recovered.
Of the active cases, Faleasao village in Manu’a was at the top of the list with 18, Tafuna had 17 and Leone had 14. Nu’uuli had 12 and Ta’u, Manu’a had 10. The active cases are in 23 villages.
As of May 3rd, Manu’a had a total of 28 cases. 18 in Faleasao and 10 in Ta’u village.
The islands of Ofu and Olosega remain Covid-free.
More Department of Health staff, including a physician and a nurse, were deployed to Manu’a to assist with community testing at both Taú and Ofu Clinics.
All individuals testing positive are directed to 10 days of Home Isolation. Taú medical team together with Epinet team will continue to monitor them closely until they are cleared.
Taú Island remains under strict restrictions until further notice.
