The Consul General to American Samoa, Fata Brian Kaio has rubbished claims out of American Samoa pertaining to the eggs exported by Sunshine Farms.
As reported by Radio Polynesia, Talanei news one of American Samoa’s mainstream media published an article that a US Vet ordered the eggs to be destroyed after her inspection.
The eggs were held at the DOA office for days for inspection after they arrived on Lady Samoa last week.
However according to Fata, after a meeting with the acting director of the Department of Agriculture, Mamea Siauini Taala, the “news reports are untrue” and the eggs were released to their intended suppliers.
According to Fata the news was never published in American Samoa, rather it came out of Apia, but that is untrue, the original article was published on Talanei/93KHJ and carried by Radio Polynesia.
