The Chief Auditor was responding to Radio Polynesia’s questions over concerns raised by the public it’s now 2023, and the Audit report available publicly is from four years ago.

“You are correct the last report on our website which we submitted to Parliament XVI relate to 2019 and you are also correct that Parliament has a process for dealing with its papers that is not within our jurisdiction.

“What I can do is to enquire with the new Speaker and new Clerk for Parliament XVII and new Attorney General whether they have the same or different interpretation as the past Speaker, Clerk, and Attorney General of the laws on the publication of parliamentary papers including audit reports to parliament,” said Fuimaono.

Adding that the Audi Office is currently working on another report to Parliament for 2021.
