“Please be aware of pages claiming to represent the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme or an employer.
“For example, we are aware of some messages being shared on various messaging platforms fraudulently claiming to be a PALM scheme employer.”
This is according to a statement posted on Australia’s High Commission to Samoa’s official Facebook page.
The statement says the scam lists job opportunities and requests money from those interested in ‘applying’- this is a scam.
“Do not engage with this page. “Please remember, there are no upfront fees to apply for Pacific labour mobility programs.
“If you are interested in working in Australia through the PALM scheme, please talk to the team in your country – they can inform you about the official process.”
