Cabinet appoints Muā’autau Raiē Silipa as new DBS Chief Executive Officer

Cabinet has approved the appointment of Muā’autau Raiē Silipa as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Development Bank of Samoa (DBS).

Faiane Susana Laulu previously held this position. 

Muā’autau is currently the manager for Finance of the DBS, and has been working at the DBS for over twenty years. The panel highly and unanimously recommended him as the new CEO for the next three years. 

Four applicants were interviewed for this position. Muā’autau is a Samoa Institute of Accountants member and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Queensland, Australia.

He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of the South Pacific. Muā’autau succeeds Faiane who did not seek reappointment.
