A piece of 3-piece playground equipment and accessories have been added to the playground infrastructure at the Campus of Hope, thanks to the generosity of the DMC Restaurant and Coin Save owner and an avid supporter of SVSG, Tu’itu’ioaiga Teeking Weng.
The playground caters for children 2 – 5 years old cared at the shelter facility for abused and vulnerable children, inclusive of children with disabilities.
The donation came during the SVSG Saving Lives Fundraising Event; and has added to the businessman’s in-kind, financial, and advocacy support, specifically for SVSG’s work with children.
The children of Hope have been treated as guests at the DMC restaurants during special occasions such as the Festive Season.
The Fiafia Park has been booked out for the children so that they can enjoy themselves safely. They even have the children’s meals delivered to the Campus during holidays, including bulk supplies of French fries and snacks, as their way of cheering them up.
For health and well-being, hair stylists and medical teams from China have been brought to the Campus through the advocacy role of this businessman for the children of Hope.
“While the playground, financial and advocay support have added to the contribution of the businessman and his family towards the Campus of Hope, it is the impact of this giving to the beneficiaries of this work, that speaks volume of this family’s generosity.” Siliniu Lina SVSG President
