The Commonwealth Games 2022, hosted by Birmingham in England, concluded last month on a high note for Team Samoa.
“Thus, the Board and Management of SASNOC acknowledge the national athletes, coaches and all officials whom represented Samoa with high honors.”
According to a statement issued by SASNOC, the achievements by Team Samoa have again put our small island nation at the top of the Pacific Island Region, with 1 Gold medal and 4 Silver medals.
Fa’amalo to Samoa Weightlifting Federation and Samoa Boxing Federation for their brilliant efforts in securing medals for Samoa.
“To honor our wonderful athletes for their efforts and achievements, SASNOC will host a small celebration this Friday 9th September at the Football Federation Samoa Inc Conference Room.
“The program consists of a short thanksgiving ceremony, followed by a BBQ to celebrate the exceptional contribution of our sports whom represented Samoa. SASNOC also takes this opportunity to express great appreciation to our 28 National Federations for the undying support for sports development in Samoa.
“Last but not least, we cannot forget the continuous support of our local sponsors Samoa International Finance Authority (SIFA: IBFC) and Samoa Tourism Authority (STA), and the people of Samoa for their prayers offered on behalf of Team Samoa.”
