Constable Carmen Tausili wins the New Zealand Army Band Solo Competition

Constable Carmen Tausili won the New Zealand Army Band Solo Competition.
Tausili is a representative of the Mutual Assistance Programme (MAP) Musician’s Course 2023, courtesy of the New Zealand Army Band School of Music.
The 35-year-old Constable is the first from the Samoa Police Prisons and Corrections Services to win such an award, let alone a competition. Constable Carmen is the first of the Mutual Assistance Programme to win the New Zealand Army Bands’ Solo Competition.
An accomplishment the officer says he is humbled by.
“I am very humbled and grateful to be able to achieve this milestone”, said Constable Carmen Tausili.
The Mutual Assistance Programme (MAP) Musician’s Course 2023 is conducted for ten (10)months, and the SPPCS member is the first to represent the organisation since the global pandemic (Covid-19) put the Programme on hold.
