More than 10 Samoa Police Prisons and Corrections Services members attended the Working with Stakeholders and Improving Workplace Communication Workshop at Taumeasina Island Resort and facilitated by the Pacific Faculty of Policing (PFP) Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).
Deputy Commissioner Papali’i Monalisa Tia’i-Keti expressed her gratitude towards the facilitators for sharing their experience and expertise, which she believes will develop the officers in the long run.
The Training is on “Leadership Skills. It highlights methods officers can utilise to cultivate their leadership skills in conducting policing work and making rational decisions on the field.
Deputy Commissioner Papali’i Monalisa Tia’i-Keti encouraged the participants to use what they have gained from the 3-day workshop effectively.
“Making decisions is never easy, but I am confident that if you follow the guidelines and what you’ve learnt in this workshop, you will be able to determine what is needed and important to the organisation”, said Deputy Commissioner Papali’i.
After the 3-day workshop, all participants completed the program they presented with certificates marking this milestone in their policing careers.
