The number of COVID-19 cases is now over the 6,000 mark, in American Samoa with 6,004 cases recorded as of Monday, May 16th.
The number of active cases was 109, the rest have recovered, according to 93KHJ news.
The daily tally of positive cases continues to drop. On Monday, out of 559 people tested, 16 were positive. There have not been any COVID-related deaths in a week. This figure remains at 30.
For Manu’a the total number of COVID cases, as of Monday, was 56: 33 in Faleasao, 21 in Ta’u, and 2 in Ofu.
Vaccination coverage hasn’t changed. 84.4% are fully vaccinated, 88.8% have received one dose and 66.6 have been boosted.
