Covid related death count remains at 25; 235 new confirmed cases


The Ministry of Health’s latest data released confirmed 235 new Covid-19 cases between the 24th to 26th May 2022.

“There were 228 new community cases and seven new imported cases, taking the total number of cases to 13,380.

“Currently, there are five (5) patients in managed isolation at Moto’otua Hospital.”

The death count stands at 25, according to the MOH data.

The Ministry continues to appeal to members of the public that adhering to health measures such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and washing hands, are important in maintaining good hygiene and in containing community transmission.

Vaccination remains our best defense against the severe effects of the virus.
