Cumulative number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 15,946

Between 9-16 October Samoa’s Ministry of Health reported 3 new positive cases, taking the cumulative number of COVID-19 positive cases (community/border) to 15,946.
Of this number 15,766 are community cases, and 180 are border cases since November 2020.
This seven-day rolling average report covers positive case trends since the first community case was confirmed on March 17th.
The number of covid related deaths remains at 29.
According to the MOH’s report, the total number of COVID-19-positive cases admitted to TTM Hospital since community transmission in March 17, 2022, were 347 and the total number of cases discharged from TTM hospital – was 312.
The cumulative number of RATs conducted as of 16 August, 2022, 02:00 pm amounted to 187,397.
