A female driver who struck a three-year-old at Tuanaimato Sports Complex earlier this month has been criminally charged.
Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo confirmed this in response to questions from Radio Polynesia.
The accident led to the death of a three-year-old toddler who died due to the severity of the injuries.
The woman is facing one count of negligent driving causing death. According to the Commissioner the woman was speeding when the toddler ran across and the vehicle struck her.
