The Ministry of Police and Prisons was at it again with another successful drug raid over the weekend.
This time, they executed a search warrant at Le Tafa’ifoe Moata’a. This was confirmed by Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo in response to questions from Radio Polynesia on Saturday night.
He further noted this raid is related to the recent drug bust in Puipa’a last week, where 11 suspects were apprehended.
At the Moata’a drug bust, six suspects were detained by the Police, and they seized methamphetamine, marijuana, and more than $10,000 in cash.
At the raid in Puipa’a, a substantial quantity of methamphetamine drugs and ammunition was estimated to have a street value of $26,000 talā, including live ammunition jewelry believed to have been exchanged for ice and cash.
The Ministry of Police and Prisons continues efforts to eliminate illegal substances in the Country.
