There are eight contestants vying the for the 2022-2023 Miss Samoa Crown.
Savali reports they include four contestants from Australia, one from New Zealand, one from Los Angeles U.S.A. and two local beauties.
The eight contestants are Miss Samoa New Zealand, Shilohm Vaeluaga Filipi; Miss Samoa Victoria Inc Olivia Grace Unasa Siaosi; Miss Performing Arts, Todahrabah Eniata; Miss SSAB Gloryesther Fuimaono; Miss Samoa Melbourne Australia Inc Haylanni Pearl Mataupu Kuruppu; Miss Princess Mariana Publications, Rosevelaryn Odile Everleilani Brown Fane; Miss Samoa ua Tasi, USA Jessika Laletupe Ki and Miss Samoa New South Wales Valentine Tanya Tago.
Two years after the Miss Samoa Pageant was halted, the pageant will be held next month as the finale for the Teuila Festival this year.
Miss Samoa was suspended after the measles outbreak in 2019 and when Samoa closed its borders in March 2020, this popular event was pushed to the back burner.
According to Savali, the Vodafone Miss Samoa Pageant 2022 annual Teuila Festival is now injected as one of the Government’s Independence Celebration events.
The event is scheduled for September 10th at Gym 1 Tuanaimato. The reigning Miss Samoa and Miss Pacific Islands Fonoifafo McFarland-Seumanu has carried the title since 2019.
