Enhancing access to improved sanitation, strengthening the regulatory framework, and compliance with water sanitization are the focus of a workshop to review and update the National Sanitation Policy aims for the Water.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment says the Water and Sanitation Sector conducted a Validation Workshop for the Review and Update of the National Sanitation Policy aims for the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Sector to enhance access to improved sanitation, strengthen regulatory framework and compliance, improve the knowledge and capacity of the sanitation subsector and relevant agencies and also develop and maintain sustainable sanitation and wastewater infrastructures.
The Vision Engineering Consultants headed by Seugamalii Jammie Seana is the Consultant selected to conduct the Review and Update of the National Sanitation Policy which will strengthen the implementation of sanitation and wastewater management priorities in the coming years.
The Sector’s Implementing Agencies and Stakeholders were invited to take part in this workshop to ensure active and balanced contributions and inputs in the formulation and finalization of this important document.
