A 33 year old fisherman drowned early Thursday morning in Falelatai. He was found by other fishermen in the village.
This was confirmed by Acting Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo in response to questions from Radio Polynesia.
Auapa’au said the unfortunate incident occurred early Thursday morning leading into the long Easter weekend. Adding that aside from this devastating incident, Good Friday all the way to Monday was quite peaceful.
