The Attorney General’s Office has filed additional 300 charges against former ANZ bank manager, Seira Malifa who appeared in the Supreme Court on Monday during criminal mention.
This matter was heard before Supreme Court Judge Justice Fepulea’i Ameperosa Roma.
The new charges against Ms Malifa meant that many other transactions were made and the money involved has now increased to over a million tala from $800,000 tala initially.
Malifa is facing theft as a servant on allegations that she stole money from the bank for a span of five years between 2018 and 2022.
The prosecution sought for additional time to finalize charges against Malifa, who is accused of submitting false loan applications, approved it and later withdrew for her personal use.
