The Ministry of Police and Prisons arrested four men after a drug raid in Fa’atoia yesterday.
This was confirmed by Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo in response to questions from Radio Polynesia.
“Police seized drugs such as methamphetamine or ice, guns, drugs paraphernalia such as glass pipes commonly used to smoke ice, cash of more than $5,000, and electronics, consisting of laptops, phones, and digital scales.
“There were six baggies of meth discovered weighing at 3.25 grams valued at more than $3,000 tala, along with marijuana leaves,” said the Police Commissioner.
Adding the raid was led by Acting Deputy Police Commissioner Papalii Efo Moalele.
The four men are facing drug charges and will appear on 22 August 2022. He said one of the accused has a previous drug conviction.
