The men arrested and charged following a drug raid at Fa’atoia several days ago, have been identified as Faamatala Ainuu; Tupa’i Fialelei; Malu Palu; Dan Wilson.
The Ministry of Police and Prisons has filed charges of unlawful drug possession, unlawful possession of utensils as well as armed charges.
Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo told Radio Polynesia over the weekend, that the police seized drugs such as methamphetamine or ice, guns, drugs paraphernalia, or glass pipes commonly used to smoke ice, cash of more than $5,000, and electronics, consisting of laptops, phones, and digital scales.
“There were six baggies of meth discovered weighing 3.25 grams valued at more than $3,000 tala, along with marijuana leaves,” said the Police Commissioner.
Adding the raid was led by Acting Deputy Police Commissioner Papalii Efo Moalele.
The four men are facing drug charges and will appear on 22 August 2022. He said one of the accused has a previous drug conviction.
