New Zealand-born actor KJ Apa or Keneti James Fitzgerald Apa, playing the lead character Archie Andrews on the sci-fi teen show Riverdale, will be live on Radio Polynesia this morning.
The Riverdale TV series is inspired by the classic Archie comics.

The Riverdale TV show that KJ Apa Star is a popular show on Netflix is in the midst of its fifth season.
Apa is a New Zealand actor, singer, and musician and he has received various accolades, including a Saturn Award and nominations for an MTV Movie & TV Award, two People’s Choice Awards and two Teen Choice Awards.
The 25-year-old KJ, short for Keneti James after his father, Tupa’i Keneti Apa.
With ties to the villages of Moata’a and Nuusuatia in Samoa, where his father was bestowed his paramount chiefly title, KJ was a talented rugby player himself until he was 17 before making it big in Hollywood. Apa’s name has appeared in lights with guest spots on countless popular shows including Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Ellen Show.
“I’m half Samoan, but nobody knows it because I’m white and I have red hair,” he says. “My dad is a chief in Samoa. I almost identify more as a Samoan than I do as a New Zealander, just because I grew up with so much Samoan family and the Samoan culture is really close to me.”
“I feel ashamed of myself for not pursuing it more, for not spending more time with my Samoan side because I’m out there all the time.”
