The latest vaccination data from the Ministry of Health states the percentage for children from 5 years old to 18 years old has surpassed 100 per cent for their first dosage.
The Government reported that data shows high vaccination coverage for the young age groups.
According to MoH there are 121,891 teenagers, 18 years old and above are eligible to receive the vaccines and have had their first dose while 113,010 or 92.7 per cent have completed their vaccination.
There are 27,880 children the 12-17 aged that are eligible for the vaccines, 28,191 have had their first dose representing 100 per cent while 87.2 per cent or 24,308 of the eligible children have had their two doses.
From the 5 years to 11-year-olds age group, of the 40,638 children eligible 39,238 or 96.6% have received their first those with 24,771 or 61 per cent completing the two doses.
Vaccination teams from the Ministry of Health are in Savaii to administer the second dose of Pfizer for 5-11-year-olds to complete their COVID vaccination cycle. To date, 92.6 per cent of the age group 18 years and above have completed two doses.
Among this age group, 70,439 booster doses have been administered.
