A 46-year-old man has been charged with murder in relation to an incident that occurred in Ulutogia Aleipata last week.
Commissioner of Police, Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo confirmed this in an interview with Radio Polynesia.
The murder charge followed a drinking session that turned violent and left a man dead.
The Police Commissioner told Radio Polynesia the accused got into an argument with the victim and allegedly struck him on the head with a rock.
The defendant a 46-year-old is now in the custody of the Police and is scheduled to appear in court on 22 August for his criminal mention on the murder charge.
