Issued by the Samoa Meteorology Office at 5am, the flood and heavy rain advisory remain in effect.
Wet and unstable weather conditions continue to persist as the convergence zone remains just south of the island chain, in conjunction with the prevailing moist Northwesterly wind flow.
These weather conditions may induce isolated to scattered showers with periods of brief heavy falls in some areas for today towards tomorrow. Consequently, flooding is possible in low-lying/ flood-prone areas.
Heavy downpours with poor visibility, foggy and slippery roads over mountain passes and ranges, pooling near roadsides and waterways. Flooding and landslides are possible.
