The first direct charter flights from China to Samoa of tourists will arrive this Sunday 28 May 2023.
This was confirmed by Minister of Works Transport and Infrastructure, Olo Fiti Vaai in an interview with Radio Polynesia.
He said its on a weekly basis.
“The first flight is expected this Sunday with over 150 passengers. The second flight is set on 3 June where the aircraft will take back the first lot that arrived on 28 May,” explained the Minister.
He said the government is doing everything they can to bring more tourists to Samoa in turn will help stimulate our economy.
Adding that hotel operators should be in preparation mode to cater to the influx of tourists from China.
