The United Kingdom’s Embassy in Samoa has confirmed Mrs Angelica Salele-Sefo is one of the Chevening Scholars for School Year 2022-2023. She will attend Swansea University to study for a master’s in Communication, Media Practice and Public Relations.
In a statement issued by the UK office, Salele-Sefo thanked the British High Commission in Apia and the UK for the opportunity.
“I am truly humbled and honoured to accept this Chevening Award and convey my sincere gratitude towards the British High Commission in Apia, and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom for this incredible opportunity.
I also have to thank my husband Brandon and our children, our parents, family and close friends for their continuous love and support that has allowed me to aspire to achieve even my wildest dreams.
Special acknowledgement and thanks is owed to my parents, Afualo Dr Wood and Rose Marie Salele, for instilling in me and my siblings a passion for education and being lifelong learners so that we can better serve our families, community, and Samoa.
All glory be to God, without whom I could not have made it this far, as this was a prayer answered for me and my family. Viia Le Alii!”
