Murder defendant denies criminal charges

Edward Fanueli denied all five criminal charges against him, in the Supreme Court yesterday during his criminal mention, in relation to the death of his girlfriend who was shot dead prior to Christmas. 

The defendant a former cop, entered his not-guilty plea through his lawyer Leiataualesa Jerry Brunt. 

He faces charges of murder, manslaughter, grievous bodily harm, armed with a dangerous weapon and possession of an unlawful weapon. 

Fanueli who is held in the custody of police has sought bail before Supreme Court Justice Ameperosa Roma. The bail hearing has been scheduled for the 15, February next week Wednesday. 

Meanwhile, the main hearing for this matter is scheduled for 28 of August 2023.
