The newly sworn-in Member of Parliament, Fo’isala Lilo Ioane addressed Parliament today and during his maiden speech paid tribute to the former Associate Minister, Vaele Iona Sekuini for his work as MP for Gagaifomauga #2.

Vaele passed away in March, which led to the vacated seat that was won by Foisala as a result of the by-election held earlier this month.

The new MP was sworn in this morning. He acknowledged his constituency especially his village Lefagaoalii, and his supporters for electing him into office.

“I will not make any promises but I will do my best to serve and develop our Constituency. However, I need your support,” said the MP.

Fo’isala pointed out that as a FAST member, their constituency will give their full support to the development projects in place by the Government.

The new MP reminded Parliament of the request already put in place by Vaele for road projects and water connections for the homes in the District and also acknowledged the support of Gagaifomauga #2 Constituency in terms of the $960 million proposed budget deliberated in Parliament for the financial year 2022-2023.
