Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo says “no signs of foul play” has been recorded in the death of TV3 Manager, Aotearoa Pesamino Mayer during the police preliminary investigations this morning.

“In any death case, the normal procedure is to look for signs of foul play, but nothing was found in the case at hand.

“However we will ask for an autopsy to determine what was the cause of death in this case, but the doctor will make the submission in a coroner form and submit to the coroner for a final decision on whether a post-mortem is warranted.

“According to police records, she was found dead in her bed with no signs of foul play; even her house there was no sign of forced entry,” he said.

The sudden death of Ms Mayer this morning left her colleagues in shock.

Condolence messages are going viral online as Ms Aotearoa was not only TV3’s Manager but she also worked for Radio Polynesia on Magik FM.
