Police Community Engagement Unit attends Apia West Youth Mini Convention

The Ministry of Police and Prisons’s Community Engagement Unit (CEU) participated in the Apia West Youth Mini Convention Workshop.
Sharing SPPCS’s experiences and valuable information on how we may help teens and young children understand the importance of law enforcement.
The team discussed with the youngsters some of the legislation and actions that have been demonstrated to apply to ongoing criminal activity.
This includes cyber and security, transportation safety (road safety), domestic abuse, and the Alcohol Control Act.
The team provided information about the importance of following the law and the consequences for breaking the law.
They also discussed the importance of seeking help when needed and where to go for help. Finally, the team encouraged the youngsters to stay safe and responsible.
