The Ministry of Police and Prisons today confirmed the death of a man in Savaii after a bizarre incident during a project yesterday afternoon.
It’s alleged he was using a speed buffer to cut metals and one of the metals struck the young man on the neck.
Due to the severity of the injuries Police Commissioner, Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo said the young man died.
However, Police are investigating this matter. The young man’s body had since been transferred to the Tuasivi hospital morgue, to await instructions from the Coroner on whether to release the body or conduct an autopsy.
