It was a devastating Father’s day weekend for one of the families in Lalomauga. Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo confirmed an investigation carried out by the Police into the death of a man in his 40s last Saturday, the day before Father’s Day.
He said the incident occurred when the man went to his plantation, and while cutting down trees, one tree fell on him and killed him instantly.
According to Auapa’au the body had since been taken to the morgue at the national hospital to await instructions from the Coroner, on whether to release the body or an autopsy is required.
