The Ministry of Police and Prisons are investigating the death of a Police Officer over the weekend, whose body is currently at the Malietoa Tanumafili ll Tuasivi morgue in Savaii.
Police say there are reports of an incident that occurred over the weekend at the deceased residence.
It is alleged that Officer in question was under the influence of alcohol and was injured from glasses at his residence, due to the severity of the injuries, he died as a result.
It is further alleged by Police Officers in Savaii, that his body was initially taken to a private morgue, but, was then transferred to the Tuasivi hospital for Police investigations.
