The Ministry of Police and Prisons are investigating the death of a 70-year-old man found dead on the side of the road last weekend, in Vaiusu.
Acting Deputy Commissioner, Papalii Efo Moalele confirmed they are investigating this matter and they are awaiting the coroner’s report on whether an autopsy will be required or not.
Adding that in every death-related matter, the Police treat it as a homicide until that is ruled out.
“However preliminary investigation indicates there was no foul play and it’s highly likely the elderly man died from natural causes,” said Papalii.
The Acting Deputy Commissioner also confirmed the man is from Vaiusu.
