A criminal complaint has been lodged with the Police regarding a missing $100,000 tala which belongs to Interlinc Samoa limited.
A distributor company of phone credit for one of the local network companies.
Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo told Radio Polynesia, that the complaint was filed two weeks ago with the Faleata Outpost however it will be referred to the Criminal Investigation Division before the end of the week.
Furthermore, the owners of the company suspect that it’s an inside job.
Adding the accumulation of the money stolen occurred over a period of time. However, the investigation is continuing and he cannot further comment.
Interlinc Samoa limited is a distribution company with experience in multiple markets providing both recharge card and direct top-up services.
This includes finding, signing up, and training an extensive sub-distributor/reseller network and it was established in 2007 as a joint venture between New Zealand company Oceanic Holdings International Limited and Facey Europe Ltd.
The company was been contacted for a comment.
