The Ministry of Police and Prison are investigating a theft incident that occurred near Salamumu where the Australian Survivor is shooting its reality TV show.
Deputy Commissioner Papalii Monalisa Tia’i-Keti, Spokesperson for the Ministry says the incident occurred last month.
“Confirming incident reported from filming location close to Salamumu on 31 August 2022.
Items went missing and total value of items stolen $13,000 AUD – items include Sony Camera serial number 4470747, Sony Lens serial number 1915225 and case, Express Memory Card, Card Reader, Tripod base plate and batteries.”
Papalii said the Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the matter.
“We ask the public for information if anyone tries to sell these properties to contact Supt. Col Aumua of CID,” said Papalii.
The tenth season of the reality TV series is reportedly set to be based on a ‘Heroes vs. Villains’ theme.
‘The series will see 12 former Survivor castaways divided into two tribes based on their status as either a “hero” or a “villain” alongside 12 new players,’ claimed the newspaper.
The last time Australian Survivor was in Samoa in 2016.
