The Ministry of Police and Prisons are investigating a robbery in broad daylight yesterday at Lotopa where two men are implicated.
The men with their faces covered are on video footage that went viral online when one attacked a female cashier while the other stole goods from the store.
Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo told Radio Polynesia the men are under the Police’s radar and are seeking public members for assistance.
He said the man who attacked the cashier, his face was caught on the camera, and they are using that to track down the culprits that robbed Wong’s Store.
He said it was clear from preliminary investigation the two men went into the store to purchase cigarettes and soft drinks but had no money to pay for their shopping and then attacked the cashier and took off on foot.
