Police nabbed five people in drug raid at Toamua Uta

The increasing presence of hard drugs in the Country is quite concerning, said Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo. 

He told Radio Polynesia, a total of five people were arrested last weekend following a raid in Toamua where Police found drugs and a weapon. 

“Police found methamphetamine or ice, drugs paraphernalia, tools used to smoke ice, marijuana and a pistol.

“They are all charged with unlawful possession of narcotics and utensils, however, there is a possibility of additional charges. They are scheduled to appear on 22 May for their criminal mention,” said Auapa’au. 

In the meantime, the defendants are behind bars at the Tanumalala Prison to await their court date.
