Police tracking down woman in embezzlement case


The Ministry of Police and Prisons are investigating an embezzlement case alleged to have occurred within the operation of the EFKS Television Station to the tune of $20,000 tala. 

This is according to Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo in response to Radio Polynesia questions. 

He said the matter is with the Criminal Investigation Division. 

“The complaint was lodged with the Police in February when a female staff uplifted a check in the amount of $24,000, yet was never received by EFKS TV.” 

Auapa’au said officers are tracking down the female suspect.
