Prime Minister joins Independence celebration in Auckland NZ

Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mata’afa says the celebration of Samoa’s success of democracy and it’s fitting to remember the sacrifices and the farsighted vision of Samoa’s forefathers to strive for independence.

These are the Prime Minister’s comments in Auckland New Zealand for the celebration of Samoa’s 60 years of Independence from New Zealand’s governance since 1962.

Adding that its an occasion to consider what remains to be done and Samoa knows to achieve independence in the true sense that only when they are able to banish hardship and ensure all the citizens fully enjoyed the fruits of national development while having full opportunities to contribute towards it and this would only be possible only when learning from their failures and build on their successes
