This morning public servants paraded through the town area in line with Public Service Day, hosted by the Public Service Commission.
The march which started at 7:30 am began from the Police Station car park in Apia to the FMFMII Building, Matagialalua, where a Thanksgiving prayer service followed.
According to the PSC notice, following the brief observance service, all agencies may return to their respective Offices following the ceremony, to continue with their planned activities in celebrating the Public Service Day from 1 pm onwards.
“The Commission reminds all Agencies to ensure there is staff allocated to serve the public at your respective Offices on this day.
“I appreciate very much your understanding and kind collaboration, and trust that this memorandum be received, and accepted, in the true “Spirit of Service,” said Lauano.
