Shane Tormes, the reigning Miss Global 2022, will visit Samoa in September 2023 on the invitation of Vodafone Samoa.
Miss Global will travel from her home country Philippines and will arrive in Samoa on 12 September. A representative of the Miss Global Organization will accompany Tormes. She was crowned Miss Global 2022 at the finale night held on 11th June 2022 held in Bali, Indonesia.
Tormes is the first Filipina beauty queen to take home the international crown along with winning the best in talent award in Miss Global Pageant. She is a Filipino singer, model, and beauty queen from Atimonan, Quezon, Philippines.
In December, Shane’s mother passed away due to cancer, but the stunning beauty made sure she won the crown for her mother and she did it. She has actively promoted the fight against Cancer.
Vodafone in preparation for her visit, has scheduled a Samoan Traditional Welcome along with charity, Meet the Press and Meet and Greet with key Vodafone Samoa customers along with introducing her to Samoan culture.
Vodafone Samoa has also initiated a national competition to send a Samoan lady to Vietnam in November to participate in the Miss Global Pageant, where participants from 75 countries will take part in the 10th anniversary of the Global Pageant. Registration is currently on, and interested candidates can apply online at Vodafone.com.ws.
The winner of Samoa will be fully funded by Vodafone and its associates to travel to Vietnam. “This is probably the first time any reigning global pageant winner is visiting Samoa. The Miss Global Organization is followed by 1.3 million people globally in Instagram alone and her visit will promote Samoa as a tourist destination in a big way.
