On the final Day of Weightlifting at the Pacific MiniGames 2022 Saipan, Iuniarra Sipaia won 3 Gold Medals and smashes all Pacific Games & Oceania Records during the 87+kg Women.
The medal tally of the MiniGames places Samoa on the top ten teams winning 21 medals; 8 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze. Papua Niu Guinea leading on the board, dominating with 80 medals, 33 of which are gold. Second is Tahiti with 58 medals including 22 gold medals.
The SASNOC page says that Lesila Fiapule also wins a Gold medal in the Snatch in the 87+kg Women at today’s weightlifting Pacific MiniGames 2022 in Saipan.
The pair dominates the women’s heavyweight division.
Also, young 15-year-old Imoasina Pelenato won the bronze at the Oceania Championships 2022.
Furthermore, young Avatu Opeloge wins 3 bronze medals in the 76kg Women at the Pacific MiniGames 2022 Saipan. With only 6 months of lifting.
While Faustina Opeloge took 3 Gold Medals at the Pacific MiniGames 2022 in the 81kg Women. Also won gold at the Oceania Senior Championships 2022, and set 3 new Oceania Youth Records.
