The Ministry of Police and Prison have in their custody a man from Fogapoa, Savaii alleged to have shot dead two people in the village.
“A man and his son died this evening, they were shot dead,” said Acting Police Commissioner Papalii Monalisa Keti, in response to questions from Radio Polynesia.
“This is an unfortunate situation, a land dispute that took two lives,” said Papalii.
“We have in our custody the suspect,” said the Acting Police Commissioner.
Asked as to what happened to the weapon used, Papaplii declined to comment noting the Police investigation is underway.”
The victims are a man is in his 60s and his son is 18 years old.
