In the quarterly performance report from October to December last year, the Samoa National Provident Fund recorded an operating profit of $ 16.6 million tala, which amounted to a YTD profit of $31.3 million at quarter end.
This is outlined in a quarterly report released by the Ministry of Public Enterprises.
The report further says that 2% of the final interest of the 8.2% interest declared for the financial year 2022 was paid to members in December 2022, valued at $12.2 million tala.
In the previous quarter, July-September 2022, the SNPF closed off the quarter with a Net Profit of $ 14.7 million below budget by 5%. – 3.2% of the 8.2% interest declared by the Fund in June 2022 was paid to its members in July 2022. – The official opening ceremony for the SNPF Building at Salelologa Savaii was held in August 2022.
